I am going to attempt to explain or better yet reveal to you the secret of silence that is all to often never realised or overlooked. Imagine this if you will…
Busy world always buzzing
We live in a world that is always active and therefore we are always processing loads of information as we’re navigating our journeys. As we move about, we go on interacting with one another in constant communication with each other and everything around us. So it is quit natural for us to rationalize what we see and hear; naturally identifying what we hear as sound or noise of some sort attempting to relay messages.

But what if the things we actually are identifying with our ears as sound could be nothing more than what we are able to subtract from the chaotic noise that we are immersed in. It’s like as if our minds are grasping at these messages and with the help of our eyes, we are able to isolate specific vibratory frequencies, which allows us to hear that specific sound. So around us is an never ending symphony of sound waves with varying octave levels of pitch, some so high or low that it exceeds normal hearing range, where we would not otherwise be aware of its existence. When the pitch of sound reaches such high extremes our minds sort of zones out of immediate focus and the sound becomes background noise or silence. Its a coping mechanism that our minds use to guide us as accurately as possible in this conjested space of continuation. This coping mechanism is essential for our smooth operation so that we don’t short circuit or combust from overwhelming LOUDness of all the information projected ongoing within our environments.
Everything emits frequencies

You are probably aware of the fact that everything vibrates at a specific frequency and has its own signature wave form. These signals are responsible for how we see and hear, also how things form into unique shapes. Frequency can be linked to how something appears within the space, it is the boundary gates or borders that maps out the geometrical design and holds the physical resonance of matter.

The frequency is emitting specific information about the matter as well, ie. color, sound, smell, feel etc. Frequencies support attraction and how well something bonds or harmonizes together.
Frequency and meditation

Now when someone mentions meditation and tapping into high vibrations through meditation it seems to make more sense, especially if your intention is to focus or tap into those out-of-range frequencies. The ideal is to sit quietly and clear your mind to allow natural flow of inspiration, communication and/or guiding messages to come through. Some even go as far as to intend to communicate with divine spiritual or ancestral entities through meditation. I imagine this is because these beings reside in those out-of-range vibrational pockets of memory. These memories exist in wave forms that emit high or low frequencies that you would have to consciously focus in on in order to see, hear or feel them. It’s like “surfing the silence for specifics” or “tuning into tones”, as you may.
So one of the goals in meditation would be to sit and concentrate on specific vibratory frequencies. This is the common action of connecting to inspirational messages that influence creation “like trying to grasp the next line of lyrics to a song your writing” or when your looking for the answer to something and your waiting to remember it. These are examples of what “surfing the silence” would look like.
